Title says it all really,

I have myself garnered 175 Tournament tokens since I unlocked all skills etc. and up to when these keys were available every time i maxed my Balth faction I transfered them to tokens in the hope that something would come along other than tournaments that i could use them for.

With the introduction of a use for balth points now i would love to be able to transfer 5 tokens for 1 key, as that is the amount of blath used for keys.

This way i get to use my blath faction and get rid of a pile of nearly useless tokens, as i dont enter tournaments much, cant do GvG as not in guild big enough for it, and not usually into doing the HvH, though i do enjoy it rarely.

Please consider this Anet as it would be a nice wee addition to an already great idea

Hm... it sounds plausible... but for now you could try to trade tokens for keys... XD.

people only bought tokens because they exceded the cap, no reason why poeple who went over the cap then should get less reward than those who do it now.

Won't that have a serious impact on in game economy if suddenly everyone has 500 zaishen keys? For the record I have a stack of tournament tokens myself but I really think it would ruin the game..

Uhmm why do you think ppl suddenly have 500 Keys? 5 Tokens for 1 key, its all the hardwork for Faction anyway. Oh maybe because you did not transfer your own faction to Token before so you dont want anyone who USED their faction for Token getting benefit? Uhmm selfish HA Ha ha....!!! There's no other reason I would think of why you would unsign

any serious PvP'er has got some stacks itself, and deleted even more.

Thinking about it, /unsigned.

There is no benefit to it, it would just lead to such an influx of keys that it would destroy any value they had left.

And I'm really not saying this because it doesn't help me, I personally have several stacks of them but I just don't think there is really much to gain from it.

I trade tournament tokens for gold usually anyway. Before the keys I would usually get 3-5k for 25 tokens. But it's alot harder to get buyers for the tokens than the keys. And if they did allow tokens to be transfered for keys I would be seriously rich, I pretty much only pvp.

There was no indication by Anet that these tokens would be used for anything but tournaments. People who brought a whole lot were taking a risk, the rewards could be high (if they allowed exchange for keys) or no reward (if they stayed just tournament tokens).
Anet would have implemented it from the start if they wanted to but they decided not to reward the risk takers. I think they made the right decision.

I bought 406 Tournament Tokens, for that was the only thing there was to buy. When I saw the topic talking about "new use for Balthazar Faction", I immediately thought they would be retroactive to the Tokens as well. They should be. I don't care if you think it'll "flood the market", it's about time the heavy PvPers got their just deserts.

and i don't give a rat's arse about any sort of "flood" in the market of keys. their prices are temporarily bloated and they're going to go down soon anyway. your chances of getting something worth more than 300-500g is pretty slim. keys are already easy as pie to get, and the long-UAX players should not be punished for hoarding tokens - its the only darn thing we could do with our faction. was really a slap in the face.

But, to be fair, I am willing to bet that most of the keys will get you flaskwater and creme brulees. I have 612 tournament tokens. I would love to trade 5 tokens for 1 key.
